چکیده

With rising societal interest in the subject areas of science, technology, engineering, art and mathematics (STEAM), a micro:bit robotics course with an online group study (OGS) system was designed to foster student learning anytime anywhere. OGS enables development environment that combines real-world digital-world resources, can enhance effectiveness among students from remote area. In this pre- post-test experiment design, we studied 22 (8 males 14 females) 5th grade area Taiwan. A t test performed before after showed positive increase students’ proportional reasoning, probabilistic ability analyze problem. Results also revealed gender difference association between logical reasoning problem-solving ability.

Problem solving and logical reasoning in the macaque monkey.

This study focuses on the performances of monkeys in a spatial problem-solving task that involves working memory. Two monkeys had to find, by trial-and-error, the touching order of 2 or 3 targets in a set of 3 or 4 fixed spatial targets. When a solution was found and performed 6 times, the order was changed and the animal had to resume a new search within the same set of targets. Thus, in a tra...

An Online Testing and Analysis System for Creative Problem-Solving Ability in Sciences

This paper proposes an online testing and analysis system for studying students’ Creative Problem-Solving (CPS) ability in sciences. Using an open-ended essay-question-type test, students are asked to express their idea and imagine how to solve problems better. Based on previous works, we utilize an automated scorer for evaluating students’ CPS ability. This system serves as a real-time (self-)...
